Darryl Lloyd is a former professional hockey player with over 15 years of experience across junior, minor pro, and international hockey.

Developed in the OHL with the Windsor Spitfires, he went on to play professionally in North America and overseas, including an AHL stint with the Cleveland Barons, NHL rookie camp with the Nashville Predators, and five championship-winning seasons with the Belfast Giants (EIHL).

Today, Darryl brings more than 10 years of hands-on development experience as the owner of Next Shift 7 Hockey. His development model is built around mastering seven core skills essential to long-term success: skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, hockey IQ, compete/battle habits, and mental performance.

His approach focuses on building efficient habits, improving decision-making, and preparing players for the pace and demands of the next level.

As a Family Advisor, Darryl works closely with players and parents to provide honest guidance, clear development plans, and trusted pathway support — helping athletes progress the right way, on and off the ice.
